 mahÄ-sampat - of profuse material opulence; dÄvÄt - from a forest fire; api - although; patitam - fallen; uddhá¹›tya - delivering; ká¹›payÄ - by mercy; svarÅ«pe - unto SvarÅ«pa DÄmodara GosvÄmÄ«; yaḥ - He who (Lord ÅšrÄ« Caitanya MahÄprabhu); svÄ«ye - His personal associate; ku-janam - low person; api - although; mÄm - me; nyasya - having delivered; muditaḥ - pleased; uraḥ - of the chest; guñjÄ-hÄram - the garland of conchshells; priyam - dear; api - although; ca - and; govardhana-Å›ilÄm - a stone from Govardhana Hill; dadau - delivered; me - to me; gaurÄá¹…gaḥ - Lord GaurÄá¹…ga; há¹›daye - in my heart; udayan - by manifesting; mÄm - me; madayati - maddens.

“Although I am a fallen soul, the lowest of men, ÅšrÄ« Caitanya MahÄprabhu delivered me from the blazing forest fire of great material opulence by His mercy. He handed me over in great pleasure to SvarÅ«pa DÄmodara, His personal associate. The Lord also gave me the garland of small conchshells that He wore on His chest and a stone from Govardhana Hill, although they were very dear to Him. That same Lord ÅšrÄ« Caitanya MahÄprabhu awakens within my heart and makes me mad after Him.â€
