Purport

The Bhakti-ratnÄkara refers to the following books by ÅšrÄ«la SanÄtana GosvÄmÄ«: (1) the Bá¹›had-bhÄgavatÄmá¹›ta, (2) the Hari-bhakti-vilÄsa and his commentary known as Dig-darÅ›inÄ«, (3) the LÄ«lÄ-stava and (4) the commentary on the Tenth Canto of ÅšrÄ«mad-BhÄgavatam known as Vaiṣṇava-toá¹£aṇī. SanÄtana GosvÄmÄ« compiled many, many books, all with the aim of describing how to serve the principal Deities of Vá¹›ndÄvana — Govinda and Madana-gopÄla. Later, other Deities were gradually established, and the importance of Vá¹›ndÄvana increased.
