veṇu-śabda śuni' āmi gelāṅa vṛndāvana
dekhi, — goᚣᚭhe veṇu bājāya vrajendra-nandana

 veṇu-śabda - the vibration of the flute; Ĺ›uni' - after hearing; Ämi - I; gelāṅa - went; vṛndāvana - to Vṛndāvana; dekhi - I saw; goᚣᚭhe - in the pasturing field; veṇu - the flute; bājāya - played; vrajendra-nandana - Kṛṣṇa, the son of Nanda Mahārāja.

“After hearing the vibration of a flute, I went to Vṛndāvana, and there I saw that Kṛṣṇa, the son of Mahārāja Nanda, was playing on His flute in the pasturing grounds.
