se-kÄle - in those days; e-dui - these two; rahena - stayed; mahÄprabhura pÄÅ›e - with ÅšrÄ« Caitanya MahÄprabhu; Ära - other; saba - all; kaá¸acÄ-kartÄ - commentators; rahena - remained; dÅ«ra-deÅ›e - far away.
In those days, SvarÅ«pa DÄmodara and RaghunÄtha dÄsa GosvÄmÄ« lived with ÅšrÄ« Caitanya MahÄprabhu, whereas all other commentators lived far away from Him.
Besides SvarÅ«pa DÄmodara and RaghunÄtha dÄsa GosvÄmÄ«, there were many others who also recorded ÅšrÄ« Caitanya MahÄprabhu’s activities. ÅšrÄ«la BhaktisiddhÄnta SarasvatÄ« ṬhÄkura believes that the people of the world would benefit greatly if such notes were available. It is a most unfortunate situation for human society that none of these notebooks is still extant.
