vá¹›ndÄvanaá¹ divya-latÄ-parÄ«taá¹
latÄÅ› ca puá¹£pa-sphuritÄgra-bhÄjaḥ
puá¹£pÄṇi ca sphÄ«ta-madhu-vratÄni
madhu-vratÄÅ› ca Å›ruti-hÄri-gÄ«tÄḥ
vá¹›ndÄvanam - the forest of Vá¹›ndÄvana; divya-latÄ-parÄ«tam - surrounded by transcendental creepers; latÄḥ ca - and the creepers; puá¹£pa - by flowers; sphurita - distinguished; agra-bhÄjaḥ - possessing ends; puá¹£pÄṇi - the flowers; ca - and; sphÄ«ta-madhu-vratÄni - having many maddened bumblebees; madhu-vratÄḥ - the bumblebees; ca - and; Å›ruti-hÄri-gÄ«tÄḥ - whose songs defeat the Vedic hymns and are pleasing to the ear.
This verse from the Vidagdha-mÄdhava (1.24) is spoken by Lord BalarÄma to His friend ÅšrÄ«dÄmÄ.
