 rÄya kahe - ÅšrÄ« RÄmÄnanda RÄya says; nÄndÄ«-Å›loka paá¸a - please recite the introductory verse; dekhi - so that I can see; Å›uni - so that I can hear; Å›rÄ«-rÅ«pa Å›loka paá¸e - RÅ«pa GosvÄmÄ« recites the verse; prabhu-ÄjÃ±Ä mÄni' - accepting the order of ÅšrÄ« Caitanya MahÄprabhu.

RÄmÄnanda RÄya said, “Please recite the introductory verse of the Vidagdha-mÄdhava so that I can hear and examine it.†Thus ÅšrÄ« RÅ«pa GosvÄmÄ«, being ordered by ÅšrÄ« Caitanya MahÄprabhu, recited the verse (1.1).
