svarÅ«pa kahe, — "kṛṣṇa-lÄ«lÄra nÄá¹­aka karite
vraja-lÄ«lÄ-pura-lÄ«lÄ ekatra varṇite

 svarÅ«pa kahe - SvarÅ«pa DÄmodara replied on behalf of RÅ«pa GosvÄmÄ«; kṛṣṇa-lÄ«lÄra - of the pastimes of Lord Kṛṣṇa; nÄá¹­aka karite - composing a drama; vraja-lÄ«lÄ-pura-lÄ«lÄ - His pastimes in Vá¹›ndÄvana and His pastimes in MathurÄ and DvÄrakÄ; ekatra - in one book; varṇite - to describe.

SvarÅ«pa DÄmodara replied for ÅšrÄ«la RÅ«pa GosvÄmÄ«: “He wanted to compose a drama about the pastimes of Lord Kṛṣṇa. He planned to describe in one book both the pastimes of Vá¹›ndÄvana and those of DvÄrakÄ and MathurÄ.
