tÄhÄá¹… saba loke kṛṣṇa-nÄma laoyÄila
mallikÄrjuna-tÄ«rthe - to the holy place known as MallikÄrjuna; yÄi' - going; maheÅ›a - the deity of Lord Åšiva; dekhila - He saw; tÄhÄá¹… - there; saba loke - all the people; kṛṣṇa-nÄma - Lord Kṛṣṇa's holy name; laoyÄila - He induced to chant.
ÅšrÄ« Caitanya MahÄprabhu then went to MallikÄrjuna-tÄ«rtha and saw the deity of Lord Åšiva there. He also induced all the people to chant the Hare Kṛṣṇa mahÄ-mantra.
MallikÄrjuna is also known as ÅšrÄ« Saila. It is situated about one hundred miles northeast of Karṇula on the southern bank of the Ká¹›á¹£á¹‡Ä River. There are great walls all around the village, and within the walls resides the deity known as MallikÄrjuna. It is a deity of Lord Åšiva and is one of the Jyotir-liá¹…gas.
