pahile - in the beginning; dekhiluṅ - I saw; tomāra - Your; sannyāsi-svarūpa - form as a person in the renounced order; ebe - now; tomā - You; dekhi - see; muñi - I; śyāma-gopa-rūpa - form as Śyāmasundara, the cowherd boy.

Rāmānanda Rāya then told Lord Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu, “At first I saw You appear like a sannyāsī, but now I am seeing You as Śyāmasundara, the cowherd boy.
