dui-arthe 'kṛṣṇa' kahi, kene pÄá¹ha phiri
sÄrvabhauma kahe, — o-pÄá¹ha kahite nÄ pÄri
dui-arthe - by two interpretations; kṛṣṇa - Lord ÅšrÄ« Kṛṣṇa; kahi - I accept; kene - why; pÄá¹ha - reading; phiri - changing; sÄrvabhauma kahe - SÄrvabhauma replied; o-pÄá¹ha - such a reading; kahite - to say; nÄ - not; pÄri - am able.
“Since I can understand Kṛṣṇa according to these two meanings,†Caitanya MahÄprabhu said, “what point is there in changing the verse?â€
SÄrvabhauma Bhaá¹á¹ÄcÄrya replied, “I was not able to give that reading to the verse.
