Purport

ÅšrÄ«mad-BhÄgavatam was collected by the incarnation of God, VyÄsadeva, and it was later taught to his son, Åšukadeva GosvÄmÄ«. This is a quotation from ÅšrÄ«mad-BhÄgavatam (1.3.41).
