Text

ā€œ ā€˜Kramaā€™ also means ā€˜power,ā€™ ā€˜trembling,ā€™ ā€˜a systematic method,ā€™ ā€˜argumentā€™ and ā€˜a forcible attack by stepping forward.ā€™ Thus Vāmana caused the three worlds to tremble.

Purport

Uru means ā€œvery great,ā€ and krama means ā€œstep.ā€ When Lord Vāmanadeva was offered three steps of land, He expanded His three steps by covering the entire universe. In this way the three worlds trembled, and therefore ŚrÄ« Vāmanadeva, the incarnation of Lord Viį¹£į¹‡u, is referred to as Urukrama.
