satyaá¹ diÅ›aty arthitam arthito nṛṇÄá¹
naivÄrtha-do yat punar arthitÄ yataḥ
svayaá¹ vidhatte bhajatÄm anicchatÄm
icchÄ-pidhÄnaá¹ nija-pÄda-pallavam
satyam - it is true; diÅ›ati - He awards; arthitam - that which is desired; arthitaḥ - being requested; nṛṇÄm - by human beings; na - not; eva - certainly; artha-daḥ - giving desired things; yat - which; punaḥ - again; arthitÄ - request; yataḥ - from which; svayam - Himself; vidhatte - He gives; bhajatÄm - of those engaged in devotional service; anicchatÄm - even though not desiring; icchÄ-pidhÄnam - covering all other desires; nija-pÄda-pallavam - the shelter of His own lotus feet.
