sarasi sÄrasa-haá¹sa-vihaá¹…gÄÅ›
cÄru-gÄ«ta-há¹›ta-cetasa etya
harim upÄsata te yata-cittÄ
hanta mÄ«lita-dṛśo dhá¹›ta-maunÄḥ
sarasi - in the water; sÄrasa - cranes; haá¹sa - swans; vihaá¹…gÄḥ - birds; cÄru-gÄ«ta - by the melodious song of Kṛṣṇa's flute; há¹›ta-cetasaḥ - devoid of material consciousness; etya - coming near; harim - the Supreme Personality of Godhead; upÄsata - worshiped; te - all of them; yata-cittÄḥ - with full attention; hanta - alas; mÄ«lita-dṛśaḥ - closing their eyes; dhá¹›ta-maunÄḥ - completely silent.
This is a quotation from ÅšrÄ«mad-BhÄgavatam (10.35.11). In the day, Kṛṣṇa went to the forest of Vá¹›ndÄvana, and at that time the gopÄ«s, being morose due to separation from Him, were lamenting in this way.
