“MahÄ-Viṣṇu, PadmanÄbha and KṣīrodakaÅ›ÄyÄ« Viṣṇu are the Supersouls of all subtle and gross existences.

Purport

Lord MahÄ-Viṣṇu is known as KÄraṇodakaÅ›ÄyÄ« Viṣṇu, the Supersoul of everything. GarbhodakaÅ›ÄyÄ« Viṣṇu, from whose lotus navel BrahmÄ was created, is also called Hiraṇyagarbha and is the total Supersoul and the subtle Supersoul. KṣīrodakaÅ›ÄyÄ« Viṣṇu is the universal form and the gross Supersoul.
