 sanÄtana kahe - SanÄtana replied; tumi - you;  - not; kara - do; rÄja-bhaya - fear of the government; daká¹£iṇa - to the south; giyÄche - has gone; yadi - if; leuá¹­i' - returning; Äoyaya - comes; tÄá¹…hÄre - to him; kahio - you say; sei - he; bÄhya-ká¹›tye - to evacuate; gela - went; gaá¹…gÄra nikaá¹­a - near the bank of the Ganges; gaá¹…gÄ dekhi' - seeing the Ganges; jhÄá¹…pa dila - jumped.

SanÄtana replied, “There is no danger. The Nawab has gone to the south. If he returns, tell him that SanÄtana went to pass stool near the bank of the Ganges and that as soon as he saw the Ganges, he jumped in.
