 sakhyera guṇa - the quality of fraternity; asaá¹…koca - without any formality; agaurava - without any veneration; sÄra - the essence; mamatÄ-adhikye - on account of greater intimacy; tÄá¸ana - of chastisement; bhartsana - of rebuking; vyavahÄra - behavior.

“The essence of fraternal love is intimacy devoid of the formality and veneration found in dÄsya-rasa. Due to a greater sense of intimacy, the devotee functioning in parental love chastises and rebukes the Lord in an ordinary way.
