ye me bhakta-janÄḥ pÄrtha
na me bhaktÄÅ› ca te janÄḥ
mad-bhaktÄnÄá¹ ca ye bhaktÄs
te me bhakta-tamÄ matÄḥ

 ye - those who; me - My; bhakta-janÄḥ - devotees; pÄrtha - O PÄrtha; na - not; me - My; bhaktÄḥ - devotees; ca - and; te - those; janÄḥ - persons; mat-bhaktÄnÄm - of My devotees; ca - certainly; ye - those who; bhaktÄḥ - devotees; te - such persons; me - My; bhakta-tamÄḥ - most advanced devotees; matÄḥ - that is My opinion.

“[Lord Kṛṣṇa told Arjuna:] ‘Those who are My direct devotees are actually not My devotees, but those who are the devotees of My servant are factually My devotees.’
