vraja-janÄrti-han vÄ«ra yoá¹£itÄá¹
nija-jana-smaya-dhvaá¹sana-smita
bhaja sakhe bhavat-kiṅkarīḥ sma no
jala-ruhÄnanaá¹ cÄru darÅ›aya
vraja-jana-Ärti-han - O one who diminishes all the painful conditions of the inhabitants of Vá¹›ndÄvana; vÄ«ra - O hero; yoá¹£itÄm - of women; nija - personal; jana - of the associates; smaya - the pride; dhvaá¹sana - destroying; smita - whose smile; bhaja - worship; sakhe - O dear friend; bhavat-kiá¹…karīḥ - Your servants; sma - certainly; naḥ - unto us; jala-ruha-Änanam - a face exactly like a lotus flower; cÄru - attractive; darÅ›aya - please show.
This verse in connection with the rÄsa dance of Kṛṣṇa with the gopÄ«s is quoted from ÅšrÄ«mad-BhÄgavatam (10.31.6). When Kṛṣṇa disappeared from His companions in the course of dancing, the gopÄ«s sang like this in separation from Kṛṣṇa.
