eka-dina prabhu Å›rÄ«vÄsere ÄjÃ±Ä dila
'bá¹›hat sahasra-nÄma' paá¸a, Å›unite mana haila

 eka-dina - one day; prabhu - the Lord; Å›rÄ«vÄsere - unto ÅšrÄ«vÄsa ṬhÄkura; ÄjÃ±Ä - order; dila - gave; bá¹›hat - great; sahasra-nÄma - one thousand names; paá¸a - read; Å›unite - to hear; mana - mind; haila - wanted.

One day the Lord ordered ÅšrÄ«vÄsa ṬhÄkura to read the Bá¹›hat-sahasra-nÄma [the thousand names of Lord Viṣṇu], for He wanted to hear them at that time.
