In his AnubhÄá¹£ya ÅšrÄ« BhaktisiddhÄnta SarasvatÄ« GosvÄmÄ« PrabhupÄda says that BhÄgavata Ä€cÄrya was formerly among the followers of Advaita Ä€cÄrya but was later counted among the followers of GadÄdhara Paṇá¸ita. The sixth verse of ÅšÄkhÄ-nirṇayÄmá¹›ta, a book written by Yadunandana dÄsa, states that BhÄgavata Ä€cÄrya compiled a famous book of the name Prema-taraá¹…giṇī. According to the Gaura-gaṇoddeÅ›a-dÄ«pikÄ (195), BhÄgavata Ä€cÄrya formerly lived in Vá¹›ndÄvana as Åšveta-mañjarÄ«. ViṣṇudÄsa Ä€cÄrya was present during the Khetari-mahotsava. He went there with AcyutÄnanda, as stated in the Bhakti-ratnÄkara, Tenth Taraá¹…ga. Ananta Ä€cÄrya was one of the eight principal gopÄ«s. His former name was SudevÄ«. Although he was among Advaita Ä€cÄrya’s followers, he later became an important devotee of GadÄdhara GosvÄmÄ«.
