baá¸a Å›ÄkhÄ, — gadÄdhara paṇá¸ita-gosÄñi
teá¹…ho laká¹£mÄ«-rÅ«pÄ, tÄá¹…ra sama keha nÄi
baá¸a Å›ÄkhÄ - big branch; gadÄdhara paṇá¸ita-gosÄñi - the descendants or disciplic succession of GadÄdhara Paṇá¸ita; teá¹…ho - GadÄdhara Paṇá¸ita; laká¹£mÄ«-rÅ«pÄ - incarnation of the pleasure potency of Lord Kṛṣṇa; tÄá¹…ra - his; sama - equal; keha - anyone; nÄi - there is none.
In the Gaura-gaṇoddeÅ›a-dÄ«pikÄ (147-53) it is stated, “ŚrÄ« Kṛṣṇa's pleasure potency, formerly known as Vá¹›ndÄvaneÅ›varÄ«, is now personified in the form of ÅšrÄ« GadÄdhara Paṇá¸ita in the pastimes of Lord Caitanya MahÄprabhu. ÅšrÄ« SvarÅ«pa DÄmodara GosvÄmÄ« has pointed out that in the shape of Laká¹£mÄ«, the pleasure potency of Kṛṣṇa, she was formerly very dear to the Lord as ÅšyÄmasundara-vallabhÄ. The same ÅšyÄmasundara-vallabhÄ is now present in Lord Caitanya’s pastimes as GadÄdhara Paṇá¸ita. Formerly, as LalitÄ-sakhÄ«, she was always devoted to ÅšrÄ«matÄ« RÄdhÄrÄṇī. Thus GadÄdhara Paṇá¸ita is simultaneously an incarnation of ÅšrÄ«matÄ« RÄdhÄrÄṇī and LalitÄ-sakhÄ«.†In the twelfth chapter of this part of the Caitanya-caritÄmá¹›ta there is a description of the descendants or disciplic succession of GadÄdhara Paṇá¸ita.
