 guruḥ - a son named Guru; ca - and; rantidevaḥ ca - and a son named Rantideva; saá¹…ká¹›teḥ - from Saá¹…ká¹›ti; pÄṇá¸u-nandana - O MahÄrÄja ParÄ«ká¹£it, descendant of PÄṇá¸u; rantidevasya - of Rantideva; mahimÄ - the glories; iha - in this world; amutra - and in the next world; ca - also; gÄ«yate - are glorified.

O MahÄrÄja ParÄ«ká¹£it, descendant of PÄṇá¸u, Saá¹…ká¹›ti had two sons, named Guru and Rantideva. Rantideva is famous in both this world and the next, for he is glorified not only in human society but also in the society of the demigods.
