(he) mahÄ-bÄho–O mighty Arjuna; evam–in this way; buddhvÄ–discerning; buddheḥ param–the soul to be superior to the intelligence; saá¹stabhya–by steadying; ÄtmÄnam–the mind; ÄtmanÄ–by resolute intelligence—conviction; jahi–destroy; durÄsadam–the formidable; Å›atrum–enemy; kÄma-rÅ«pam–in the form of desire.
