karmaṇy evÄdhikÄras te mÄ phaleá¹£u kadÄchana mÄ karma-phala-hetur bhÅ«r mÄ te saá¹…go ’stv akarmaṇi [47]

  1. te–Your; adhikÄraḥ–right; eva karmaṇi–is to perform your prescribed duties; mÄ kadÄchana (bhūḥ)–but never; phaleá¹£u–to the results. mÄ bhūḥ–Be neither; karma-phala-hetuḥ–motivated by the fruits of action; mÄ–nor; astu–may; akarmaṇi–non-performance of your prescribed duties; (bhūḥ)–be; te–your;[47]
