sve sve karmaṇy abhirataḥ saá¹siddhiá¹ labhate naraḥ svakarma-nirataḥ siddhiá¹ yathÄ vindati tach chhṛṇu [45]

naraḥ–The man; abhirataḥ–devoted; sve sve karmaṇi–to his own appropriate duty; labhate–attains; saá¹siddhim–perfection in selfknowledge. śṛṇu tat–Now hear; yathÄ–how; svakarma-nirataḥ–one dedicated to executing his prescribed duty; vindati– attains; siddhim– perfection. [45]

One who devotes himself to his own duty attains perfection in self-knowledge. Now hear from Me how a person attains perfection through devotion to his own duty:
