sarva-dvÄreá¹£u dehe ’smin prakÄÅ›a upajÄyate jñÄnaá¹ yadÄ tadÄ vidyÄd vivá¹›ddhaá¹ sattvam ity uta [11]

yadÄ–When; prakÄÅ›aḥ–illumination; jñÄnam–of knowledge; upajÄyate–appears; sarva-dvÄreá¹£u–in the gateways (the senses); asmin dehe–of this body; tadÄ–then; vidyÄt iti uta–know by that symptom; sattvam–the mode of goodness; vivá¹›ddham–has increased. [11]
