tvam aká¹£araá¹ paramaá¹ veditavyaá¹ tvam asya viÅ›vasya paraá¹ nidhÄnam tvam avyayaḥ Å›ÄÅ›vata-dharma-goptÄ sanÄtanas tvaá¹ puruá¹£o mato me [18]

tvam paramam aká¹£aram–You are Parabrahma; veditavyam–knowable by the Vedas. tvam param–You are the supreme; nidhÄnam– reservoir; asya viÅ›vasya–of this universe. tvam avyayaḥ–You are the imperishable; Å›ÄÅ›vata-dharma-goptÄ–preserver of Vedic sanÄtandharma, the eternal religion. tvam sanÄtanaḥ–You are the eternal; puruá¹£aḥ–Supreme Personality; (iti)–this is; me–my; mataḥ– understanding. [18]


Text

You are the Supreme Absolute Truth knowable by the Vedas. You are the supreme reservoir of the universe and the imperishable preserver of the eternal religion described in the Vedas. I now understand You to be the eternal Supreme Personality.
