हित्वेदं नृप गङ्गायां यास्यत्यद्धाकुतोभयम् ॥२८॥
jijñÄsitÄtma-yÄthÄrthyo
muner vyÄsa-sutÄd asau
hitvedaá¹ ná¹›pa gaá¹…gÄyÄá¹
yÄsyaty addhÄkutobhayam
O King! Having discerned the truth about the Lord from the son of VyÄsa, giving up his body on the bank of the Gaá¹…gÄ, he will certainly attain the Lord.
Jijnasitatma-yatharthyah means “he who had discerned the truth about the Lord.†Idam refers to the body.
