हिरण्यं गां महीं ग्रामान्हस्त्यश्वान्नृपतिर्वरान् ।
प्रादात्स्वन्नं च विप्रेभ्यः प्रजातीर्थे स तीर्थवित् ॥१४॥

On the auspicious occasion of the birth, the best of kings, knowing the proper time to give charity, gave the brÄhmaṇas gold, cows, land, villages, elephants, horses, and the best food.

Purport

Praja-tirthe means “at the auspicious time of a son’s birth.†Putre jate vyatipate dattam bhavati caksayam: what is given at the birth of a son or during calamity has indestructible results.
