tvaḿ caitad brahma-dāyāda
śraddhayātmānuśāsanam
dhārayaḿś cara gāḿ kāmaḿ
kāmānāḿ bharjanaḿ nṛṇām
tvam -- you; ca -- and; etat -- this; brahma -- of Brahma; dayada -- O heir (Narada); sraddhaya -- with faith; atma-anusasanam -- instruction in the science of the Self; dharayan -- meditating upon; cara -- wander; gam -- the earth; kamam -- as you wish; kamanam -- the material desires; bharjanam -- which burns up; nrinam -- of men.
Narada, the son of Brahma, heard this account from Sri Narayana Rishi. The epithet brahma-dayada also means that Narada attained Brahman effortlessly, just as if it were His inherited birthright.
