sa indraseno bhagavat-padāmbujaḿ
bibhran muhuḥ prema-vibhinnayā dhiyā
uvāca hānanda-jalākulekṣaṇaḥ
prahṛṣṭa-romā nṛpa gadgadākṣaram
sah -- he; indra-senah -- Bali, who conquered the army of Indra; bhagavat -- of the Supreme Lords; pada-ambujam -- the lotus feet; bibhrat -- taking hold of; muhuh -- repeatedly; prema -- out of love; vibhinnaya -- which was melting; dhiya -- from his heart; uvaca ha -- said; ananda -- caused by his ecstasy; jala -- with water (tears); akula -- filled; ikshanah -- whose eyes; prahrishta -- standing erect; roma -- the hair on whose limbs; nripa -- O King (Parikshit); gadgada -- choking; aksharam -- whose syllables.
Srila Prabhupada describes this scene as follows in Krishna: "King Bali was feeling such transcendental pleasure that he repeatedly grasped the lotus feet of the Lord and kept them on his chest; and sometimes he put them on the top of his head, and in this way he was feeling transcendental bliss. Tears of love and affection began to flow down from his eyes, and all his hairs stood on end."
