śrī-śuka uvāca

niśamyetthaḿ bhagavataḥ

kṛṣṇasyākuṇtha-medhasaḥ

vaco duranvayaḿ viprās

tūṣṇīm āsan bhramad-dhiyaḥ

sri-sukah uvaca -- Sukadeva Gosvami said; nisamya -- hearing; ittham -- such; bhagavatah -- of the Supreme Lord; krishnasya -- Krishna; akuntha -- unrestricted; medhasah -- whose wisdom; vacah -- the words; duranvayam -- difficult to comprehend; viprah -- the learned brahmanas; tushnim -- silent; asan -- were; bhramat -- unsteady; dhiyah -- their minds.

Sukadeva Gosvami said: Hearing such unfathomable words from the unlimitedly wise Lord Krishna, the learned brahmanas remained silent, their minds bewildered.
