evaḿ vadanti rājarṣe
ṛṣayaḥ ke ca nānvitāḥ
yat sva-vāco virudhyeta
nūnaḿ te na smaranty uta
evam -- so; vadanti -- say; raja-rishe -- O sage among kings (Parikshit); rishayah -- sages; ke ca -- some; na -- not; anvitah -- reasoning correctly; yat -- since; sva -- their own; vacah -- words; virudhyeta -- are contradicted; nunam -- for certain; te -- they; na smaranti -- do not remember; uta -- indeed.
If someone thinks that Lord Krishna was actually bewildered by Salva's magic and that the Lord was subjected to ordinary mundane lamentation, such an opinion is illogical and contradictory, since it is well known that Lord Krishna is the Supreme Personality of Godhead, transcendental and absolute. This will be further explained in the following verses.
