kiḿ nu vakṣye 'bhisańgamya
pitarau rāma-keśavau
yuddhāt samyag apakrāntaḥ
pṛṣṭas tatrātmanaḥ kṣamam
kim -- what; nu -- then; vakshye -- will I say; abhisangamya -- meeting; pitarau -- with My fathers; rama-kesavau -- Balarama and Krishna; yuddhat -- from the battle; samyak -- altogether; apakrantah -- fled; prishtah -- questioned; tatra -- in that case; atmanah -- for My self; kshamam -- fitting.
Sri Pradyumna here uses the word pitarau, "fathers," loosely. Lord Balarama was of course His uncle.
