śrī-śuka uvāca

ekadā tu sabhā-madhya

āsthito munibhir vṛtaḥ

brāhmaṇaiḥ kṣatriyair vaiśyair

bhrātṛbhiś ca yudhiṣṭhiraḥ

ācāryaiḥ kula-vṛddhaiś ca

jñāti-sambandhi-bāndhavaiḥ

śṛṇvatām eva caiteṣām

ābhāṣyedam uvāca ha

sri-sukah uvaca -- Sukadeva Gosvami said; ekada -- once; tu -- and; sabha -- of the royal assembly; madhye -- in the midst; asthitah -- seated; munibhih -- by sages; vritah -- surrounded; brahmanaih kshatriyaih vaisyaih -- by brahmanas, kshatriyas and vaisyas; bhratribhih -- by his brothers; ca -- and; yudhishthirah -- King Yudhishthira; acaryaih -- by his spiritual masters; kula -- of the family; vriddhaih -- by the elders; ca -- also; jnati -- by blood relatives; sambandhi -- in-laws; bandhavaih -- and friends; srinvatam -- as they listened; eva -- indeed; ca -- and; etesham -- all of them; abhashya -- addressing (Lord Krishna); idam -- this; uvaca ha -- he said.

Sukadeva Gosvami said: One day, as King Yudhishthira sat in the royal assembly surrounded by eminent sages, brahmanas, kshatriyas and vaisyas, and also by his brothers, spiritual masters, family elders, blood relations, in-laws and friends, he addressed Lord Krishna as everyone listened.
