lokānāḿ gurum īśvaram

puḿsām apūrṇa-kāmānāḿ

kāma-pūrāmarāńghripam

namasye -- I bow down; tvam -- to you; maha-deva -- O greatest of gods; lokanam -- of the worlds; gurum -- to the spiritual master; isvaram -- to the controller; pumsam -- for men; apurna -- unfulfilled; kamanam -- whose desires; kama-pura -- fulfilling desires; amara-anghripam -- (like) a tree of heaven.

[Banasura said:] O Lord Mahadeva, I bow down to you, the spiritual master and controller of the worlds. You are like the heavenly tree that fulfills the desires of those whose desires are unfulfilled.
