Srila Visvanatha Cakravarti explains here that normally, by the Lord's transcendental desire, His pure devotees reciprocate with Him in such a way that they satisfy His spiritual desires. But Rukmini's love was so strong that her unique mood predominated in this situation, and thus instead of becoming angry she fainted and fell to the ground. Far from displeasing Krishna, however, she increased His transcendental ecstasy by exhibiting her all-encompassing love for Him.
