arcitaḿ punar ity āha

nārāyaṇa jagat-pate

ātmānandena pūrṇasya

karavāṇi kim alpakaḥ

arcitam -- to Him who had been worshiped; punah -- further; iti -- as follows; aha -- he (King Nagnajit) said; narayana -- O Narayana; jagat -- of the universe; pate -- O Lord; atma -- within Himself; anandena -- with pleasure; purnasya -- for Him who is full; karavani -- may I do; kim -- what; alpakah -- insignificant.

King Nagnajit first worshiped the Lord properly and then addressed Him: "O Narayana, Lord of the universe, You are full in Your own spiritual pleasure. Therefore what can this insignificant person do for You?"
