samanandan prajāḥ sarvā

dṛṣṭvā rāma-janārdanau

apaśyantyo bahv ahāni

naṣṭa-labdha-dhanā iva

samanandan -- rejoiced; prajah -- the citizens; sarvah -- all; drishtva -- seeing; rama-janardanau -- Balarama and Krishna; apasyantyah -- not having seen; bahu -- for many; ahani -- days; nashta -- lost; labdha -- and regained; dhanah -- those whose wealth; iva -- like.


Texto

All the citizens rejoiced upon seeing Krishna and Balarama, whom they had not seen for many days. The people felt just like those who have lost their wealth and then regained it.Thus end the purports of the humble servants of His Divine Grace A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada to the Tenth Canto, Forty-fifth Chapter, of the Srimad-Bhagavatam, entitled "Krishna Rescues His Teacher's Son."
