ūṣasy utthāya gotraiḥ svair

anyonyābaddha-bāhavaḥ

kṛṣṇam uccair jagur yāntyaḥ

kālindyāḿ snātum anvaham

ushasi -- at dawn; utthaya -- rising; gotraih -- by their names; svaih -- proper; anyonya -- one with another; abaddha -- holding; bahavah -- their hands; krishnam -- in glorification of Krishna; uccaih -- loudly; jaguh -- they sang; yantyah -- while going; kalindyam -- to the Yamuna; snatum -- in order to bathe; anu-aham -- each day.

Each day they rose at dawn. Calling out to one another by name, they all held hands and loudly sang the glories of Krishna while going to the Kalindi to take their bath.
