आसीदतीतकल्पान्ते ब्राह्मो नैमित्तिको लयः ।
समुद्रोपप्लुतास्तत्र लोका भूरादयो नृप ॥७॥

brÄhmo naimittiko layaḥ
samudropaplutÄs tatra
lokÄ bhÅ«r-Ädayo ná¹›pa

 ÄsÄ«t - there was; atÄ«ta - past; kalpa-ante - at the end of the kalpa; brÄhmaḥ - of Lord BrahmÄ's day; naimittikaḥ - because of that; layaḥ - inundation; samudra - in the ocean; upaplutÄḥ - were inundated; tatra - there; lokÄḥ - all the planets; bhūḥ-Ädayaḥ - Bhūḥ, Bhuvaḥ and Svaḥ, the three lokas; ná¹›pa - O King.

O King ParÄ«ká¹£it, at the end of the past millennium, at the end of BrahmÄ’s day, because Lord BrahmÄ sleeps during the night, annihilation took place, and the three worlds were covered by the water of the ocean.
