अपृथग्धर्मशीलास्ते सर्वे दाक्षायणा नृप ।
पित्रा प्रोक्ताः प्रजासर्गे प्रतीचीं प्रययुर्दिशम् ॥२॥

 apá¹›thak - alike in; dharma-śīlÄḥ - good character and behavior; te - they; sarve - all; dÄká¹£ÄyaṇÄḥ - the sons of Daká¹£a; ná¹›pa - O King; pitrÄ - by their father; proktÄḥ - ordered; prajÄ-sarge - to increase the population; pratÄ«cÄ«m - we stern; prayayuḥ - they went to; diÅ›am - the direction.

My dear King, all the sons of PrajÄpati Daká¹£a were alike in being very gentle and obedient to the orders of their father. When their father ordered them to beget children, they all went in the western direction.
