इत्थं स्वभर्तृगदितं भगवन्महित्वं
संस्मृत्य विस्मितधियो यमकिङ्करास्ते ।
नैवाच्युताश्रयजनं प्रतिशङ्कमाना
द्रष्टुं च बिभ्यति ततः प्रभृति स्म राजन् ॥३४॥

saá¹smá¹›tya vismita-dhiyo yama-kiá¹…karÄs te
naivÄcyutÄÅ›raya-janaá¹ pratiÅ›aá¹…kamÄnÄ
draṣṭuá¹ ca bibhyati tataḥ prabhá¹›ti sma rÄjan

 ittham - of such power; sva-bhartá¹›-gaditam - explained by their master (YamarÄja); bhagavat-mahitvam - the extraordinary glory of the Supreme Personality of Godhead and His name, fame, form and attributes; saá¹smá¹›tya - remembering; vismita-dhiyaḥ - whose minds were struck with wonder; yama-kiá¹…karÄḥ - all the servants of YamarÄja; te - they; na - not; eva - indeed; acyuta-ÄÅ›raya-janam - a person sheltered by the lotus feet of Acyuta, Lord Kṛṣṇa; pratiÅ›aá¹…kamÄnÄḥ - always fearing; draṣṭum - to see; ca - and; bibhyati - they are afraid; tataḥ prabhá¹›ti - beginning from then; sma - indeed; rÄjan - O King.

After hearing from the mouth of their master about the extraordinary glories of the Lord and His name, fame and attributes, the Yamadūtas were struck with wonder. Since then, as soon as they see a devotee, they fear him and dare not look at him again.

Purport

Since this incident, the Yamadūtas have given up the dangerous behavior of approaching devotees. For the Yamadūtas, a devotee is dangerous.
