itthaá¹ svabhartá¹›-gaditaá¹ bhagavan-mahitvaá¹
saá¹smá¹›tya vismita-dhiyo yama-kiá¹…karÄs te
naivÄcyutÄÅ›raya-janaá¹ pratiÅ›aá¹…kamÄnÄ
draá¹£á¹uá¹ ca bibhyati tataḥ prabhá¹›ti sma rÄjan
ittham - of such power; sva-bhartá¹›-gaditam - explained by their master (YamarÄja); bhagavat-mahitvam - the extraordinary glory of the Supreme Personality of Godhead and His name, fame, form and attributes; saá¹smá¹›tya - remembering; vismita-dhiyaḥ - whose minds were struck with wonder; yama-kiá¹…karÄḥ - all the servants of YamarÄja; te - they; na - not; eva - indeed; acyuta-ÄÅ›raya-janam - a person sheltered by the lotus feet of Acyuta, Lord Kṛṣṇa; pratiÅ›aá¹…kamÄnÄḥ - always fearing; draá¹£á¹um - to see; ca - and; bibhyati - they are afraid; tataḥ prabhá¹›ti - beginning from then; sma - indeed; rÄjan - O King.
Since this incident, the Yamadūtas have given up the dangerous behavior of approaching devotees. For the Yamadūtas, a devotee is dangerous.
