evaá¹ tava bhÄratottama jambÅ«dvÄ«pa-vará¹£a-vibhÄgo yathopadeÅ›am upavarṇita iti
evam - thus; tava - unto you; bhÄrata-uttama - O best of the descendents of Bharata; jambÅ«dvÄ«pa-vará¹£a-vibhÄgaḥ - the divisions of the island of JambÅ«dvÄ«pa; yathÄ-upadeÅ›am - as much as I am instructed by the authorities; upavarṇitaḥ - explained; iti - thus.
My dear King ParÄ«ká¹£it, O best of the descendants of Bharata MahÄrÄja, I have thus described to you, as I myself have been instructed, the island of BhÄrata-vará¹£a and its adjoining islands. These are the islands that constitute JambÅ«dvÄ«pa.
