एवं माल्यवच्छिखरान्निष्पतन्ती ततो ऽनुपरतवेगा केतुमालमभि चक्षुः
प्रतीच्यां दिशि सरित्पतिं प्रविशति ॥७॥

 evam - in this way; mÄlyavat-Å›ikharÄt - from the top of MÄlyavÄn Mountain; niá¹£patantÄ« - falling down; tataḥ - thereafter; anuparata-vegÄ - whose force is uninterrupted; ketumÄlam abhi - into the land known as KetumÄla-vará¹£a; caká¹£uḥ - the branch known as Caká¹£u; pratÄ«cyÄm - in the West; diÅ›i - direction; sarit-patim - the ocean; praviÅ›ati - enters into.

The branch of the Ganges known as Caká¹£u falls onto the summit of MÄlyavÄn Mountain and from there cascades onto the land of KetumÄla-vará¹£a. The Ganges flows incessantly through KetumÄla-vará¹£a and in this way also reaches the ocean of salt water in the west.
