चूतपल्लववासःस्रङ् मुक्तादामविलम्बिभिः ।
उपस्कृतं प्रतिद्वारमपां कुम्भैः सदीपकैः ॥५५॥

cÅ«ta-pallava-vÄsaḥ-sraá¹…-
muktÄ-dÄma-vilambibhiḥ
upaská¹›taá¹ prati-dvÄram
apÄá¹ kumbhaiḥ sadÄ«pakaiḥ

 cÅ«ta-pallava - with mango leaves; vÄsaḥ - cloth; srak - flower garlands; muktÄ-dÄma - strings of pearls; vilambibhiḥ - hanging; upaská¹›tam - decorated; prati-dvÄram - at every gate; apÄm - full of water; kumbhaiḥ - with waterpots; sa-dÄ«pakaiḥ - with burning lamps.


Text

At each and every gate there were burning lamps and big waterpots decorated with differently colored cloth, strings of pearls, flower garlands and hanging mango leaves.
