आक्रीडे क्रीडतो बालान्वयस्यानतिदारुणः ।
प्रसह्य निरनुक्रोशः पशुमारममारयत् ॥४१॥

ÄkrÄ«á¸e krÄ«á¸ato bÄlÄn
vayasyÄn atidÄruṇaḥ
prasahya niranukrośaḥ
paÅ›u-mÄram amÄrayat

 ÄkrÄ«á¸e - in the playground; krÄ«á¸ataḥ - while playing; bÄlÄn - boys; vayasyÄn - of his age; ati-dÄruṇaḥ - very cruel; prasahya - by force; niranukroÅ›aḥ - merciless; paÅ›u-mÄram - as if slaughtering animals; amÄrayat - killed.

The boy was so cruel that while playing with young boys of his age he would kill them very mercilessly, as if they were animals meant for slaughter.
