Laká¹£mÄ«, the goddess of fortune, is the eternal consort of Lord Viṣṇu. Here it is stated that both the Lord and Laká¹£mÄ«, who are eternal consorts, appeared from Ä€kÅ«ti simultaneously. Both the Lord and His consort are beyond this material creation, as confirmed by many authorities (nÄrÄyaṇaḥ paro ’vyaktÄt); therefore their eternal relationship cannot be changed, and Yajña, the boy born of Ä€kÅ«ti, later married the goddess of fortune.
