yam - who; Ähuḥ - is called; Ädyam - original; puruá¹£am - incarnation for cosmic manifestation; sahasra - thousand; aá¹…ghri - legs; Å«ru - thighs; bÄhukam - hands; yatra - wherein; viÅ›vaḥ - the universe; ime - all these; lokÄḥ - planets; sa-vikÄÅ›am - with respective developments; te - all of them; Äsate - living.
The first puruá¹£a is KÄraṇodakaÅ›ÄyÄ« Viṣṇu, the second puruá¹£a is GarbhodakaÅ›ÄyÄ« Viṣṇu, and the third puruá¹£a is KṣīrodakaÅ›ÄyÄ« Viṣṇu, in whom is contemplated the virÄá¹-puruá¹£a, the gigantic form in which all the planets with their different developments and inhabitants are floating.
